Michael Carrick says Manchester United's players are "sticking together" and taking a positive attitude into the final 10 games of the Barclays Premier League campaign, despite a disappointing defeat to Arsenal in the FA Cup on Monday.
The 33-year-old has made two substitute appearances since returning from five-and-a-half weeks out with a calf injury, and the vice-captain could be a steadying hand in steering United to a top-four finish and gaining all-important Champions League qualification for the 2015/16 campaign.
United's first-team players had a team bonding session at Cheltenham Festival races on Wednesday, and Carrick says the players are in it together and feeling positive about the season's run-in.
"We get on with it, we do what we know best," he told MUTV, when asked how the players responded to defeat on Monday. "We train hard and stick together. We can't look back, we've got to move on and look to the next game, focus on that and be positive."
United face a tough schedule as the race for the top four intensifies, starting with Carrick’s old club Tottenham Hotspur, who visit Old Trafford in Sunday's 16:00 GMT kick-off.
"Every game from now to the end of the season is huge," adds Carrick, "particularly against teams that are in and around you [in the league table], and we've got a few of those games coming up. We'll be ready for Sunday"
