Owen Hargreaves is the latest ex-Manchester United player confirmed to take part in the upcoming Legends match against Bayern Munich at Old Trafford on 14 June.
Following a successful career representing each clubs, making over 200 appearances for the German giants, Hargreaves will play a part for both teams when Manchester United Legends take on Bayern Munich All-Stars. Hargreaves was part of the team that won the Barclays Premier League in 2008, scoring a vital free-kick winner against Arsenal during the run-in, and the Champions League in Moscow, converting one of the penalties during the shoot-out triumph over Chelsea.
Legendary captain Bryan Robson will lead the United team, which also features Edwin van der Sar, Jaap Stam, Paul Scholes, Andy Cole and Dwight Yorke. From the Bayern side, fans can look forward to seeing the likes of Mark van Bommel, Giovane Elber and Dietmar Hamann, led by manager Paul Breitner. The first leg, last August, ended in a 3-3 draw in Munich, so there is all to play for in the return match and the event will also host live entertainment from top boy-band Union J and 2014 X Factor winner Ben Haenow.
