It's time to cast your vote for ManUtd.com's Player of the Month for February...
Ander Herrera | 5 appearances (3 starts, 2 subs), 2 goals
The Spanish midfielder ended the month with his best run of starts since September, lining up from kick-off in games against Preston, Swansea and Sunderland. The first and last of those resulted in victories and he deserved better from the exception in South Wales when he broke the deadlock at one end after producing a goalline clearance to deny Bafetimbi Gomis at the other. Added to a similar strike in the FA Cup win at Preston, the Swansea goal took Herrera's tally up to five - already equal to his personal best for a season.
Marcos Rojo | 6 appearances (all starts), 1 goal
Rojo missed only nine minutes of first-team football during February when he came off towards the end of the FA Cup replay win over Cambridge. The Reds were 3-0 up at that point, with Marcos contributing the middle goal – his first-ever notch for United, having unsuccessfully tried to take the glory away from Juan Mata earlier in the season. Defenders are judged firstly on their day job, of course, and Rojo was robust at the back, whether playing in various central permutations or replacing Luke Shaw on the left.
Chris Smalling | 5 appearances (3 starts, 2 subs), 2 goals
Smalling had something of a Midas touch last month, starting three of United's four wins and scoring twice as a sub in the other – 3-1 at home to Burnley. The centre-back also came off the bench at West Ham, just in time to see Daley Blind score the last-gasp equaliser. The only game he missed? Swansea away, the Reds' only defeat. On February's evidence, Chris could be the man for a demanding March.
