Ander Herrera says Manchester United cannot wait for Monday's FA Cup quarter-final tie with Arsenal and says the Reds go into the tie with respect but no fear of the opponents.
Fresh from helping United to three crucial points in Wednesday's 1-0 win over Newcastle, Herrera and the rest of the Reds squad now quickly turn attentions to the huge Cup clash at Old Trafford.
The Spaniard, who has been in fine form of late, is relishing facing the Gunners as Louis van Gaal’s men look to take a step closer to a Wembley final in May. However, with so much riding on the match for both teams, Herrera is well aware of the magnitude of this fixture.
"Now we are looking forward to our match in the FA Cup because it's a very big chance to win a trophy this season,” Ander told MUTV. “But we have to respect Arsenal because they are playing very well.
“We are Manchester United and we are not afraid,” the Spaniard added. “We are going to play in front of our fans and we need them [for us] to win."
Arsene Wenger’s men secured a 2-1 win over QPR this week, their eighth win in 10 Premier League matches, while the Reds have lost just two in the last 22 outings in all competitions. And with the two old rivals being the outright tournament favourites, as well as being tied on 11 triumphs each in the FA Cup, it is a game with added focus and intensity.
