Manchester United will look to go top of the Barclays Under-21 Premier League table after facing Everton at Leigh Sports Village on Tuesday, live on MUTV.
The Reds defeated leaders Chelsea 2-1 last week to join the Blues and Southampton on 21 points with Everton in fourth place and mounting their own title challenge - indeed, they can reach the summit with three points.
Reserves coach Warren Joyce was pleased to see 3,253 fans attend the last game after a bumper attendance against Liverpool and thankful for the support. With a draw enough to see United reclaim top spot, he is hoping for another good turn-out.
"It's a proper atmosphere and we'd like to thank the fans for coming," he told MUTV. "It makes it special for the players. It was a better atmosphere and we've had that several times here. It makes for a great night for the boys and the fans certainly showed plenty of passion themselves in helping the team drive on at the end of the Chelsea game."
Key man Andreas Pereira, who scored and set up the winner last time out, feels United can go one better than last year when the team finished runners-up to the West Londoners. "We have to keep doing well and hopefully win the league this year," he commented. "We take each game by itself and hope to win the next one and see what happens after that. The fans were very good against Chelsea. When we scored the goal, they helped us a lot."
