TV date for Manchester United vs Arsenal

It has been confirmed that Manchester United’s FA Cup quarter-final tie with Arsenal will take place at Old Trafford on Monday 9 March at 19:45 GMT. The match will also be broadcast live on BBC1.

The Reds recorded a dramatic 3-1 comeback win over Preston North End on Monday evening to secure this tantalising sixth-round encounter with the Gunners, who moved into the last-eight with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Middlesbrough.

“The most important thing is that we have a draw at home,” Louis van Gaal told journalists during his post-match press conference at Deepdale. “In FA Cup matches, I believe that is important, so I am pleased that we get to play against Arsenal at home.”

Elsewhere, Bradford City versus Reading and Aston Villa’s local derby against West Bromwich Albion will both be held on Saturday 7 March, while Liverpool will host Blackburn Rovers at Anfield on Sunday 8 March.
