Form guide: United have lost only once in 19 games, the 1-0 home reverse to Southampton, and are unbeaten outside Manchester since September's 5-3 defeat to Leicester City. Swansea, who sold top scorer Wilfried Bony to Manchester City in the transfer window, have been beaten in three of their last five games. Yet to record a home victory in 2015, they pulled off a surprise away win over Southampton on 1 February.
Team news: Robin van Persie missed Monday's FA Cup win at Preston, but the Dutchman "shall be fit" for Saturday according to van Gaal. Michael Carrick could again be the only confirmed absentee after the manager reported a slight setback in his recovery last week. For Swansea, creative midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson returns from a three-match ban with manager Monk admitting, "We have missed him. He's been a real success story for us this season." Young defender Kyle Bartley is still out with a knee problem.
